This year has been full of learning and growth for Amsterdonuts! Thanks to our loyal customers and donut lovers from all around the world, we quickly gained recognition, welcoming visitors and receiving messages globally.
Our mission to revive the Dutch origins of donuts with a fresh twist and unique experiences has been warmly embraced.
In just six months, we reached over 10,000 followers on Instagram, were producing over 200 + donuts daily, receiving partnership invitations, and sparking interest in franchising. This incredible journey has exceeded our expectations and filled us with gratitude.
However, growth requires careful planning. That’s why we’ve decided to temporarily pause our operations to reorganize strategically and come back stronger.
I’ve realized that alone, we can only go so far, and that’s why partnerships will play a key role in this next phase—bringing a fresh identity to our brand, new products, and larger structures to better serve you.

About 1850 an American sailor named Hanson Gregory is said to have innovated the iconic doughnut shape by piercing or cutting a hole through the centre of the treat. However the hole came to be, it was an important innovation; with the hole, doughnuts could be larger in size and still cook fully without leaving a doughy centre or requiring the addition of nuts or other fillings.
